Desperados Co-Ed Drill Team

The Desperados co-ed drill team formed in 1997 in Lane County, Oregon. The team consists of men, women and youth. This team has provided an opportunity for family members to ride, play and compete together.

The team is a showcase of diversity in breeds and colors of horses with Quarter horses, Arabians, appaloosa, and Morgans making up our equestrian roster.

Precision Drill requires horses to perform maneuvers while riding close to each other at a full canter. it takes time and practice to develop a finished drill horse but is very rewarding. A veteran drill horse is indeed a GOOD HORSE.

In 1999 The Desperados will be competing at the Western States Drill Team Competition in Reno, Neveda, the Lane Count Fair Drill Team Competition in Eugene,Oregon and the Oregon State Fair Drill Team Competition in Salem, Oregon. We will also be performing in local exhibitions and parades.

The BioThane headstall is shiny black overlayed on the crown, brow and nose band with white BioThane. The reins are white with black rubber grips. All brass hardware is used. The western style breast collars white overlayed on black to match the headstall. The use of BioThane for the team allows for a nice showy look, yet it can be cleaned easily look nice for very long time.
