| Encyclopedia of Rawhide and Leather Braiding by Bruce Grant, (1972) is, without a doubt, an essential braiding resource. His determination to collect, photograph and research braided work must have been a monumental task. No doubt he learned much about the craft as he compiled information. Much of Bruce Grants previous books, Leather Braiding, (1950), and How to make Cowboy Horse Gear, (1953), found their way into Encyclopedia of Rawhide and Leather Braiding. These books were in my collection years before I began braiding leather and rawhide. For the serious craftsmans, I would recommend the addition of Bruce Grants, Encyclopedia of Rawhide and Leather Braiding. |
